I was born in Manchester, England in 1982 and still live here today with my husband of 6 years and two beautiful children. After leaving school at 16 I worked in Administration, temping mostly so that I could take time off to travel when ever I wanted.
After meeting my husband I knew it was time to settle down and we started our family 2 years later. I feel lucky that I have a loving husband and I was fortunate enough to be able to stay at home and rise our children.
Knowing that I would never return to office work as I wanted the freedom to look after my children full time, I started to look for a different career that I could work around my family. In September 2007 I ran into John Kiely the photgraphy teacher at City College Manchester. Although his classes had already started he let me enrol late.
I guess you could say that everything you see on this site is what I have done since. I took to photgraphy very well, letting the classes teach me the technical side and leaving my mind to do the rest. I set up a studio in my home, I feel my work life balance is for filled and I hope I can always continue to be a full time mother and full time artist. You should see more location work from me in the future once my youngest child has gone to school.
